International Postgraduate Tuition Awards (IPTA), University of Wollongong (MSc/PhD)
Numerous fully funded positions for Master’s and Ph.D. programs are currently available at the University of Wollongong (UOW) for eligible international students to engage in research in any chosen field across the university. UOW offers a variety of graduate research scholarships and awards to highly accomplished international applicants pursuing Higher Degree by Research studies in different faculties.
These scholarships and awards typically come in the form of allowances to assist recipients in covering their living costs while conducting research at UOW. This encompasses, but is not limited to, annual stipends per fortnight, living support allowances, and coverage of tuition fees.
The International Postgraduate Tuition Awards (IPTA) at UOW aim to support tuition fees for higher degrees by research students. IPTA is granted under three distinct circumstances: Full Course IPTA, Final Session IPTA, and Financial Hardship IPTA. Eligibility Criteria for UOW IPTA Scholarships
In order to be eligible to apply for an IPTA, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be an international student undertaking a doctoral or MPhil degree at UOW;
- Meet international student visa requirements as specified by the DIBP;

How to apply for UOW IPTA scholarships
Applications for these scholarships can only be done via a University staff. Applicants are therefore encouraged to consult a supervisor before application submission.
