- TOEFL/IETLS/Duolingo/Cambridge English, only if you are not fluent in English, or if it has not been the medium of instruction in your school.

- Certified financial documents, which are bank statements of parents or educational sponsor.
Gustavus Adolphus College Scholarships For International Transfer Students
International transfer students need all of the materials listed above, as well as university transcript(s) and the Gustavus Transfer Report .
Gustavus Adolphus College Student Admission English Proficiency Requirements:
Gustavus policy requires international students to prove a minimum level of English proficiency for college-level studies.
Native English speakers from the following countries are exempted from this requirement: English-speaking Africa, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Commonwealth Caribbean Countries.
- TOEFL iBT: Total score of 85 or higher
- IELTS: Total score of 6.5 or higher
- Duolingo English Test: Score of 110 or higher
- Minnesota English Language Program (MELP): Successful completion of all required Level 4: High-Advanced ESL classes.

Gustavus Adolphus College Scholarships Important Notes
- Both DACA and U.S. citizens abroad are not considered international students and should complete the domestic application for admission.
- Applicants who do not hold a United States Passport or have United States Permanent Residence status, are recognized as International Students. Joy Reese works with all international students as well as United States passport holders who live outside of the U.S. Upon arrival to Gustavus, students can look forward to working with the International Student Services Coordinator, Jeff Anderson.
Gustavus Adolphus College Scholarships Financial Aid
Upon successful completion of the application, international students are automatically reviewed for the Count Folke Bernadotte Scholarship. This scholarship is assigned based on a number of factors, including academic success, extracurricular involvement, and demonstration of financial need. The scholarship typically ranges from $20,000-$45,000 per year. You must prove the ability to pay a minimum of $25,000 per year in order to be considered for admission. We will also evaluate you for on-campus employment as part of the financial aid process.

Scholarship Applications: All applicants will be automatically considered for academic scholarships simply by applying for admission. To be considered for our fine arts scholarships, submit the individual scholarship applications by November 8 for Early Action applicants or February 8 for Rolling Admission applicants.
